Materials
steel wire, resin, polymer clay
Type
Bracelet
The concept behind this bracelet stems from a photograph in which I insert my arm into the mouth of a dog sculpture. It intrigued me to create a bracelet that retains only the part of the dog that directly interacts with my arm: the teeth. The intention is for the teeth to bite into the wearer's arm when the bracelet is worn.
The teeth were 3D-printed based on scans of real dog teeth. I opted for a transparent printing approach without sanding or polishing, maintaining a semitransparent appearance. The 'bone' portion is crafted from a blend of white and beige polymer clay to achieve a color and texture reminiscent of bone. To connect the top and bottom, I fabricated a metal, flexible structure, allowing the bracelet to open and close, effectively 'biting' around the arm.
